This Privacy Policy explains how Vyuhworks LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use Provyuh — a meal planning and recipe management application available as a Progressive Web App (PWA) and through the Apple App Store ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you register, we collect:

Your name, email address, and profile photo (via Google Sign-In).
Email address and password (if registering directly).

1.2 Health & Nutrition Data

To personalize your meal plans and nutrition tracking, we may collect:

Dietary preferences and restrictions (e.g., vegetarian, gluten-free, allergies).
Calorie and macronutrient targets.
Medical dietary restrictions or food sensitivities you choose to disclose.

1.3 App Usage Data

We collect information you provide while using the App, including:

Recipes you create, import, or save.
Meal plans you build.
Food photos you upload recipe extraction.
Daily nutrition logs and goal-tracking activity.

1.4 Payment Information

Payment details are collected and processed by Stripe (for web/PWA subscriptions). We do not store your full credit card number. We receive limited billing information such as the last 4 digits and billing country for account management purposes.

iOS users who choose to subscribe are redirected via a secure external link to provyuh.com to complete their purchase through Stripe. Provyuh does not receive your Apple ID or any Apple payment information. Once subscribed, users may manage their subscription within the App. Users may also manage their subscriptions by visiting provyuh.com or by contacting support at support@provyuh.com.

1.5 Technical Data

We may collect standard technical data including IP address, browser type, device type, and usage analytics to improve the App's performance and reliability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide, operate, and improve the Provyuh service.
Authenticate your identity and manage your account.
Process subscription payments via Stripe.
Generate personalized meal plans and nutrition recommendations.
Send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, subscription receipts).
Respond to your support requests.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your recipes, meal plans, or health data to train AI models.

3. Third-Party Services

Provyuh integrates with the following third-party services that may process your data:

Google (Authentication)

Used for Google Sign-In. We receive your name, email, and profile photo. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy atpolicies.google.com.

Stripe (Payments — Web/PWA and iOS External Link)

Used to process subscription payments for web, PWA, and iOS users. iOS users are directed to a secure external link at provyuh.com to complete purchases via Stripe. Stripe collects and stores your payment information in accordance with their Privacy Policy and PCI DSS standards. Vyuhworks does not store payment card details. Stripe's Privacy Policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

USDA FoodData Central

We use publicly available USDA nutrition data to provide nutritional estimates. No personal data is sent to the USDA.

Apple App Store

When you download Provyuh through the Apple App Store, Apple may collect device identifiers and usage data in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. Vyuhworks does not receive your Apple ID or payment information from the App Store. Subscription purchases for iOS users are handled entirely through Stripe via a secure external link — not through Apple's in-app purchase system.

4. Recipe Import & External Content

When you use the recipe import feature to bring in content from websites, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, or other platforms:

We fetch publicly accessible content from the URL you provide in order to extract recipe data.
The imported recipe data is stored in your personal account within Provyuh.
Imported recipes are intended for your personal, private use only.
We do not share your imported recipes with other users or third parties.
Your import activity is not shared with source platforms.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or availability of content imported from third-party sources.

5. Meal Plan Sharing (Future Feature)

Provyuh may introduce the ability to share meal plans with other Provyuh users in the future. When this feature is available, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide clear notice within the App about how shared data is handled. Sharing will be opt-in and under your control.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service.

You may delete your account at any time directly within the App. If you are on an active paid subscription at the time of deletion, you will be given the choice to:

Delete immediately — your account and all associated data (recipes, meal plans, health preferences, and personal information) will be permanently deleted within 24 hours. No data is retained beyond what is required by law.
Delete at the end of the billing period — your account remains active until your current billing cycle ends, at which point your data will be permanently deleted.

You may also request account deletion by contacting us at support@provyuh.com. Upon deletion, your data will be removed within 30 days except where retention is required by law.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

Encrypted data transmission via HTTPS/TLS.
Secure authentication via Google OAuth.
Row-level security policies ensuring users can only access their own data.
Regular security reviews of our infrastructure.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data. See Sections 9 and 10 for region-specific rights. Regardless of your location, you may:

Access and update your account information within the App
Request a copy of your personal data by emailing support@provyuh.com
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Withdraw consent for health/nutrition data collection (this may limit personalized features)

9. GDPR — EEA & UK Residents

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or UK GDPR applies to our processing of your personal data.

9.1 Lawful Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following lawful bases:

Contract — to provide the Provyuh service you have signed up for.
Legitimate interests — to improve our App, analyze usage, and prevent fraud.
Consent — for optional health and nutrition data you choose to provide.
Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws (e.g., tax and billing records).

9.2 Your GDPR Rights

As an EEA or UK resident, you have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
Erasure — request deletion of your personal data. (the "right to be forgotten")
Restriction — request that we limit how we process your data.
Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Withdraw consent — at any time, where processing is based on consent.

9.3 International Data Transfers

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States. When we transfer data outside the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards including standard contractual clauses (SCCs) as required by applicable law.

9.4 Data Protection Authority

If you believe we have not handled your data in accordance with GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

As a California resident, you have the right to:

Know what personal information we collect and how it is used.
Request access to your personal information.
Request deletion of your personal information.
Correct inaccurate personal information we hold about you.
Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (note: we do not sell or share your data).
Limit use of sensitive personal information (including health and nutrition data).
Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

11. Children's Privacy

Provyuh is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data without verifiable parental consent, we will delete it promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information to us, please contact us at legal@provyuh.com.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. The updated policy will be posted at provyuh.com with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance.
