Provyuh gives you multiple ways to build your recipe library: 1. Manual Entry Create a recipe from scratch by tapping "Add Recipe." Enter your own ingredients, instructions, servings, and more. 2. Import from URL Paste a link from any recipe website and Provyuh automatically extracts the full recipe for you. Even faster: use the Share button directly from your browser or app (Safari, Chrome, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) and select Provyuh from the share sheet. The recipe is imported instantly without switching apps. 3. Import from Video Share or paste a video URL from YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok. Provyuh will extract the recipe from the video description, follow any linked recipe pages, or use AI to identify the details automatically. 4. Import from Photo Snap a photo of a recipe card, cookbook page, or handwritten note and ProVyuh will extracts the full recipe for you. You can also photograph a dish or meal to identify it and generate a recipe (see "Can I create a recipe by photographing a dish?" below).
When you import a recipe from a URL, video, or photo, Provyuh shows you a full preview before saving. This preview includes the extracted title, ingredients, instructions, nutrition, and more. You can review everything and make corrections right on the preview screen if anything was missed or needs adjusting. Nothing is saved until you confirm, so you're always in control of what goes into your library.
Tap on any recipe to view it, then tap Edit. You can modify the title, ingredients, instructions, servings, prep and cook time, nutrition information, category, source URL, and more. All changes are saved when you confirm your edits. Ingredients can be organized into sections for complex recipes. For example, a lasagna recipe might have separate sections for "Meat Sauce, "Assembly." You can create, rename, and reorder sections, and drag ingredients between them to keep things organized.
Yes! This is one of the most powerful features in Provyuh. Take a photo of any dish or meal, and our AI will analyze the image and suggest what it could be, each with a confidence percentage. You can select the best match, or if none of the suggestions are right, simply type the dish name yourself. Once confirmed, Provyuh generates a complete recipe including ingredients, step-by-step instructions, and estimated nutrition information (calories, protein, carbs, fat, and more). It's a great way to quickly log what you're eating, discover how to recreate a dish you tried at a restaurant, or get nutrition details for any meal in front of you. This is a Premium feature and counts toward your 5 daily photo imports.
You can get Provyuh on Android in two ways: 1. Google Play Store (recommended): Search for "Provyuh" in the Google Play Store and tap Install. This gives you full access to all features including in-app subscriptions. You can long-press the app icon for quick shortcuts to Recipes, Planner, and Prep. 2. Progressive Web App (PWA): Open provyuh.com in Google Chrome, then tap the install banner at the top of the page or go to the browser menu (three dots) > Add to Home Screen. Once installed, Provyuh runs as a standalone app with its own icon. Note: In-app subscriptions require the Google Play app.
You can send recipe URLs directly to Provyuh from any app or browser using your device's share sheet. • On iOS: Tap the Share button in Safari or any app, then select Provyuh from the share sheet. The recipe URL is sent directly to Provyuh where it's automatically imported. This requires the Provyuh app installed from the App Store. • On Android: Tap the Share button in Chrome or any app, then select Provyuh from the share menu. The app opens and begins importing the recipe automatically. This works with the PWA installed from Chrome. This is the fastest way to save recipes you discover while browsing. No need to copy and paste URLs.
Provyuh is built as a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means it works seamlessly across every platform and device. Whether you're on an iPhone, Android phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop, you get the same full experience with a single account. You can install Provyuh directly to your home screen on any device for a native app-like experience with instant access. Your recipes, meal plans, and data sync automatically across all your devices. No separate app downloads for different platforms, no compatibility issues, just one app that works everywhere you do.
Create custom categories like "Weeknight Dinners", "Breakfast", or "Desserts" in Settings under the Categories section. You can assign a category to any recipe when creating or editing it. On the Recipes page, use the filter to view recipes by category. Categories can be reordered by dragging them in Settings to match your preferred order.
Yes. Tap on any recipe to view it, then tap Edit. You can modify the title, ingredients (including quantities, units, and sections), instructions, servings, prep and cook time, nutrition information, category, and source URL. This is useful for correcting any details that weren't perfectly extracted during import, or for customizing a recipe to your preferences.
Every recipe in Provyuh can have a cover photo. Here's how photos are handled depending on how you add the recipe: • Imported from URL: The recipe's cover image is automatically pulled from the source website. • Imported from video: A thumbnail from the video is used as the cover. • Imported from photo: The image you captured or uploaded is used. • Manual entry: You can upload a photo from your device or take one with your camera. You can always change the cover photo on any recipe. Tap Edit, then tap the photo to upload a new image, take a fresh photo, or retake one. Provyuh also includes a built-in crop tool so you can frame the image exactly how you want before saving.

The original source URL is always preserved and linked so you can visit the original creator's page at any time. Recipe content, including text, images, and other media, may be protected by copyright. Users are responsible for ensuring their use of saved recipes respects the intellectual property rights of the original creators. Provyuh provides this tool for personal convenience, similar to bookmarking or clipping a recipe for your own kitchen. The weekly planner lets you assign recipes to specific days and meal slots like breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Open the Planner, create a new plan, then browse your recipe library to add meals to each day. You can see nutrition totals per day and for the whole week (Premium feature). When your plan is ready, a shopping list is automatically generated from all the ingredients across your planned meals.
Weekly meal plans are designed to be practical and achievable. A 7-day cycle aligns with how most people shop for groceries, typically one trip per week. Shorter plans help you set realistic, achievable goals rather than overcommitting to a month-long plan that's hard to stick to. They also reduce food waste by planning only what you need for the coming week, and make it easy to adjust based on how your week goes. Think of it as setting short-term goals that build healthy habits over time. You can always create a new plan for the following week, adapting as your schedule and preferences change.
The limit of 5 active meal plans is designed to keep your planning focused and effective. Having too many active plans at once can lead to confusion, overlapping shopping lists, and difficulty tracking what you're actually cooking. Five plans gives you plenty of flexibility for real-world use. For example, your current week's plan, a draft for next week, and a few template plans for different eating styles (vegetarian week, high-protein week, budget-friendly week). We encourage completing or archiving plans before starting new ones to keep your meal planning organized and your shopping lists clean and actionable.
Go to the Planner page and tap "Create Plan" to start a new weekly plan. Give it a name, then add recipes from your library to each day and meal slot. You can move recipes between days, remove them, or swap them out as needed. Past plans are available in your plan history where you can view them or use them as inspiration for new plans.
Meal Prep is a dedicated section in Provyuh designed to help you prepare for your upcoming meal plan. Instead of figuring out what to buy and cook on the fly, the Prep page gives you a clear, organized view of everything you need to do before your meal plan starts. Prepping ahead of time helps you save time during busy weekdays, reduces the stress of last-minute cooking, minimizes food waste by buying only what you need, and makes it much easier to stick to your planned meals throughout the week.
When creating a meal plan, you'll see an optional "Meal Prep Date" field. This is the day you plan to do your shopping and meal preparation before the plan starts. It's automatically suggested as the day before your plan's start date, but you can change it to any date before the plan begins. For example, if your meal plan starts on Monday, you might set your prep date to Sunday so you can shop and prepare meals the day before. The prep date is optional, but setting one helps you stay organized and gives you a clear target day to get everything ready.
Each meal plan has its own dedicated Prep page. When you open Prep, you'll see: • A summary showing total recipes, planned meals, and total prep and cook times across all your recipes. • A consolidated shopping list with all ingredients from your planned recipes, intelligently combined so duplicates are merged into a single item. Each item shows which recipes it's used in. • A "Recipes to Prep" section listing every unique recipe in your plan with individual prep and cook times. You can tap any recipe to view its full details. • A day-by-day meals overview showing what's planned for each day of the week. You can switch between meal plans using the plan selector at the top if you have multiple active plans.
As you shop and prepare, you can check off items on your shopping list and mark recipes as prepped. When you mark a recipe as done, Provyuh asks how you'd like to handle the related shopping items: • Check them off: Marks all ingredients for that recipe as purchased. • Remove from list: Hides those items entirely if you've already used them. • Leave as is: Just marks the recipe as prepped without changing the shopping list. This makes it easy to track your progress whether you're shopping first and prepping later, or doing both at the same time.
When you add recipes to your meal plan, Provyuh automatically combines all the ingredients into a single, consolidated shopping list. Duplicate ingredients are intelligently merged. For example, if two recipes call for onions, they appear once with the combined quantity. The list updates in real time as you modify your meal plan, so it always reflects exactly what you need to buy.
Check off items as you shop by tapping the checkbox. Completed items move to a "Checked Off" section at the bottom so you can focus on what's left. On mobile, you can swipe left on any item to reveal a delete button for items you want to remove entirely. You can also tap the edit icon on any item to rename it inline (useful for adding notes like a preferred brand). All your changes are saved and persist across sessions.
Yes. Each item on your shopping list shows which recipes it came from. This is helpful when you're at the store and want to know why a particular ingredient is on your list, or if you decide to skip a recipe and want to know which items you can leave off.
Nutrition information is extracted when you import recipes from URLs or photos. The data comes from the original recipe source when available and includes calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, fiber, and sodium per serving. Provyuh stores per-serving values so your meal plan nutrition is calculated based on individual portions. Note that nutrition data accuracy depends on the original source and may be approximate.
Your meal planner provides nutrition insights at two levels: • Weekly overview: See aggregated nutrition totals across all your planned meals for the entire week at a glance. • Daily breakdown: Tap on any day to see a detailed breakdown of that day's nutrition including calories, protein, carbs, fat, fiber, and sodium. You'll also see a per-recipe breakdown showing each recipe's individual contribution to your daily totals. The planner also shows how many of your planned recipes have nutrition data available versus those without, so you know how complete your tracking is.
Nutrition tracking is a Premium feature. Free plan users will see a preview of the nutrition cards in the meal planner but won't be able to view the full breakdown. Upgrading to Premium unlocks complete daily and weekly nutrition insights, per-recipe breakdowns, and all macro/micronutrient tracking.
